We are the Rail Users' Group for the Barking-Gospel Oak line, dating from the mid-60s when the line was under threat of closure. Since then it has had many ups and downs, but this Group has always been in there fighting passengers' corner and campaigning for improvements. We have had a number of successes - and of course the line's takeover by TfL in November 2007 was a huge step forward. However, there are still further improvements that we want to see. These include:

Measures to reduce peak-time overcrowding
Better information systems
Further improvements to stations
New 3-car trains - 2 cars are not enough
A reinstated station at Tufnell Park (Junction Road)
Electrification!
